Research Interests

Undergraduate and graduate medical education as well as continuing medical education in substance use disorders as well as safe prescribing and deprescribing of benzodiazepines. The subsequent impact of changes to education and training on physicians' attitudes, beliefs and clinical practices towards treating substance use disorders.

Evaluating and treating co-occurring substance use disorders and other psychiatric disorders. I have a Thursday morning co-occurring disorder clinic where I directly supervise a PGY3 psychiatry resident in evaluating and treating patients referred from other UCHealth providers.
