Clinical Interests
My practice focuses on disorders of the female pelvic floor - urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, fistula, and other disorders of the female urethra, vagina, and bladder. I have received specialized training in complex reconstruction of the female pelvic floor, including surgical repairs of urinary incontinence, fistula, pelvic organ prolapse, urethral strictures, and robotic reconstructive surgery. I am Board Certified in Urology and Board Eligible in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. I have completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery with Dr. Shlomo Raz at the University of California, Los Angeles where I trained in both urogynecology and urology. I am one of a small number of reconstructive urologists trained to perform complete mesh removal and advanced techniques of female pelvic floor reconstruction using native tissue (a patient's own tissues including fascia). You will find more information about me, some of the conditions I treat, and our Women's Pelvic Health and Surgery Clinic at the websites below. https://urogyn.coloradowomenshealth.com/about/doctors/janine-oliver-md https://urogyn.coloradowomenshealth.com/patients/library

Care Philosophy
My philosophy is a comprehensive approach to the pelvic floor, since multiple conditions often affect the pelvic floor simultaneously. I believe that this complex interaction must be understood to deliver the best care. I am also passionate about promoting awareness of female pelvic floor disorders, with the goal of decreasing ‘silent suffering’ amongst women with these conditions.

Personal Interests
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, backcountry snowboarding, and gardening.

Volunteer Activities
I am dedicated to global health outreach. I have traveled to Uganda with the non-profit organization Medicine for Humanity to spread awareness of and perform surgeries to repair obstetric fistulae. I have also volunteered with the CRUDEM Foundation and performed urologic surgeries at Hôpital Sacré Coeur in rural northern Haiti.
