Research Interests
My research investigates social (e.g., peer relationships) and physiological (e.g., activity of stress response systems) factors involved in predicting risk and resilience in the face of stress, as well as the implementation and dissemination of transdiagnostic (i.e., across diagnoses) interventions for behavior health problems and to promote adjustment to medical illness, including autonomic dysfunction (e.g., POTS).

My areas of clinical interest and expertise include anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, adjustment to chronic medical illness (including autonomic dysfunction and POTS) and chronic pain, family difficulties and stress, and behavior problems.

I work to provide the highest standard of evidence-based psychological intervention to my patients. My clinical approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. In my research and clinical work, I emphasize the importance of measuring and intervening to target processes that influence onset, maintenance, and recovery from behavior health problems and adjustment to medical illness. My philosophy of care influences me to consider children and adolescents within the context of their family, school, and peer environments, resulting in multidimensional and holistic intervention.
