Clinical Interests
My main clinical interests include women’s health, menopause, reproductive health, health equity, trauma-informed care, caring for underserved populations, office-based procedures, and graduate medical education.

Care Philosophy
I started my medical career in the US Navy Medical Corps and spent over a decade caring for service members, veterans and their families. Whether it was welcoming newborns into the world, or saying goodbye to my terminally ill veterans, I came to truly appreciate that every individual is different with distinct care needs. As I transitioned into a teaching role within the military, I discovered my passion for graduate medical education. I earned a public health degree while pursuing a teaching fellowship. I was lucky to discover my passion for teaching and have made it a huge part of my identity as a family physician. I believe health care is a human right and that everyone deserves a family physician to help guide them to their healthiest self. Excellent health care starts with the doctor-patient relationship and creating a trusting bond. One of my main goals as a family physician is to establish a meaningful, long-lasting connection with my patients. I strive to provide evidence-based quality care and strongly believe in preventive care. I look forward to teaching and empowering my patients to take the lead in their own health and wellness.

Personal Interests
In my spare time, I enjoy almost all outdoor activities: running, cross-country skiing, improving my downhill skiing skills, snowboarding, cycling with my family, gardening, coaching my son’s soccer team, watching and cheering on professional soccer. I also enjoy listening and learning from an eclectic mix of podcasts, listening to vinyl and avoiding being too competitive while playing Nintendo Switch with my son.

Volunteer Activities
I enjoy coaching youth soccer
