Deena is a Research Instructor at the Division of Transplant Surgery at the University of Colorado. She received her Master's in Public Health from Washington University in St. Louis and her PhD in Health Services Research from the Colorado School of Public Health. Her PhD dissertation focused on the causal implications of politicized legislation on COVID-19 vaccination behavior. She is also interested in combining methods across multiple fields (i.e. health services research, economics, data management, spatial analysis, etc.) to investigate complex health services research questions and hopes to utilize this trans-sectional approach at the Division of Transplant Surgery.

In her free time, Deena enjoys a range of outdoor activities, including rock climbing, snowboarding, and trail running.
