Research Interests

I am interested in Neutrophil Function in the Following Clinical Groups: Thermal Injury and Trauma Patients; Newborn Patients; Patients with Absence of Specific Granules; Patients with Glycogenosis lb; and Patients with Chronic Granulomatous Disease. I, also, focus on Chronic Transfusion Therapy and Iron Overload in Patients with Chronic Anemia. Additionally, I am interested in Antibody-Mediated Disorders of Platelets and Neutrophils, as well as the Generation of Lysophosphatidylcholines in Stored Blood Components and their relationship to the Pathophysiology of Transfusion Related Acute Lung Injury (TRALI).
