Recognition & Awards

  • Young Investigator Award, American Society for Clinical Investigation (2008)
  • Career Development Award, NIAID (2008)

Research Interests

Our laboratory investigates how viruses interact with host cells and host neurons. We work to identify these mechanisms and design novel drug therapies to treat viral infections in the nervous system. Our current work has also led us to investigate how virus infections may trigger events related to the development of Parkinson's disease.
